Retirement of Reverend Prebendary David Chrowhurst

'After a period of some anticipation the Vicar of St Oswald King and Martyr, Oswestry, Reverend Prebendary David Crowhurst, announced that he would be retiring on the 3rd of February 2008.

This gave the Oswestry ringers three weeks to arrange some suitable ringing to mark the occasion and to thank him for his service and support to the bell ringers of St Oswald's over the last twenty years. It was decided that we should have a quarter by a purely local band and something a bit more specific to mark the occasion. Andy Harris duly arranged the bands and the following were scored:'
